Zebras (Pre-Kindergarten)

Teachers utilize intentional instruction that optimizes key windows of opportunity for growth and development. Socially teachers provide opportunities for interactive play, fostering empathy, and following through with each child’s daily commitment. They are learning to show genuine affection and concern for their peers and teachers work with children to resolve conflicts in a healthy/appropriate manner. For literacy development children are provided engaging read-aloud, vocabulary development games and activities, formal introduction to the alphabet, phonological awareness activities, and writing and fine motor skill activities. Teachers strive to build a strong math foundation while providing lessons and activities that introduce attributes, classification patterns, one-to-one correspondence order numeration, STEAM, logical reasoning, and problem solving.

Teachers maintain open communication with parents at drop off/pick-up time and provide a daily note giving the parent a report about their child's day.
